we let your dreams come true and we offer a platform for sincere admiration and wonder.
The foundations of Elfia were laid in 1994 when brother and sister Stefan and Helena opened the small game and book shop in the small Dutch town of Delft: the Elf Fantasy Shop.
Several shops and a private magazine followed, ultimately resulting in a totally new and unique festival concept that was launched in 2001: the Elf Fantasy Fair. The concept proved to be successful as many festivals alike started popping up. However, the festival still stands strong and celebrated it’s 25th edition in April 2017 with well over 25.000 visitors.
Together with a growing family of enthusiastic volunteers this fantastical Fair is organised twice a year.
The visitors can express their dreams through making (and wearing) of costumes, drawings, paintings, music, photography, body art and vehicles
In 2013 our festival continued under the name Elfia™, with a Spring Edition at Castle de Haar, Haarzuilens (Utrecht, NL) and an Autumn Edition in the Castlegardens of Arcen (Limburg, NL).
