Alternative Ethereal Folk
Based in York UK, Rachel Croft is an independent musician and songwriter, combining rich, complex vocals over rhythmic fingerpicked guitar. Her songs are often inspired by Celtic melodies and the thoughtful lyrics of the likes of Joni Mitchell, Sandy Denny and Matt Corby, which narrate her experiences living in this historic city. “Rarely have I heard such an effortlessly powerful vocal” – Jonti Willis, Sine fm “Truly exceptional” – Jericho Keys, BBC Introducing York & North Yorkshire. An accomplished guitarist as well as a superb singer, Croft’s performance is controlled and precise…theres also an i pressive polish to her original songs – whatsonlive.co.uk
Celtic Powerhouse Folk
Harmony Glen is a Dutch feelgood-folk group founded in 2005. The music is based on Irish-Celtic folk but regularly sounds from all over the world get woven in. The goal of the band is to stand out not only through their music (which is a mix of traditional and original songs and tunes) but through their stage presence as well. Since 2014 the band has played a lot of international shows in, amongst others: Denmark (Skagen Festival), Germany (MPS, Balver Höhle, Bremen Maritim), Azores (Maia Folk Festival), Poland (Charzykowy, Tychy), United Kingdom, Italy (Triskell), Belgium (Labadoux), USA (Tall Ship Celebration) and Ireland, where they have participated in the Fleadh Cheoil (world championship for traditional Irish music) as the first band ever from Holland to make it into the world finals. Harmony Glen recorded a total of eight albums, with their latest CD/DVD “Live at Elfia” released in 2018. With their great musical skills, outstanding outfits and Irish Folk Extravaganza show, people who attend can’t seem to stand still as the energy is always on a maximal level!
Saint City Orchestra
The quintette from St. Gallen excites the audience with rousing and atmospheric Irish Rock. Three voices, two guitars, a mandolin, an accordion, a voilin, a bass and a tambourine: Less is sometimes still more after all. The creative guys connect their own compositions with headstrong interpretations of Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys or Mumford & Sons. When they go off, no t-shirt is staying dry and no leg is standing still, as the current video “The Toast” is proofing.
Paddy and the Rats
Polka, Punk & Pirate-party!
Polka, Punk & Pirate-party! Hungarian PADDY AND THE RATS bringing the Irisch pub glory straight to your merry home! Ireland! Shamrocks, shenanigans, sheep and pubs are some of the many highlights the Emerald Isle has to offer – that`s what Hungarian punk rockers Paddy And The Rats rightfully realized and quickly whipped out their fiddles and plugged in their guitars. Well, it`s one thing to dream about being Irish, but the Miskolc-based six piece instead brooded over a couple of cold beers and rum casks and decided to throw a hefty dose of pirate-isms, polka and gypsy punk into the mix! Their fifth album Riot City Outlaws is a bold step into a bright future boosted by the raw and powerful production by Grammy winner Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Megadeth, Social Distortion, Pennywise). Both Cameron and singer Paddy O`Reilly opted for a cool pop-punk approach in the vein of Green Day – overflowing with catchy choruses and dynamic up-tempo songs, Of course there are pirate party anthems like ‘Join the riot‘ and ‘One last ale‘, as well as shanties such as ‘Black Sails‘ and ‘Where Red Paints the Ocean‘ equally show the darker side of life on the Seven Seas. Tipsy ballads ‘Castaway‘ and ‘Another life‘ plus a healthy infusion of Irish influenced punk rock songs (‘Blow‘, ‘Aerolites‘) round off a grimy pirate party bringing unwashed pub glory straight to your merry home!
Uncle Bard & he Bastards
Irish Folk Rock from Italy
The first and main Irish Folk/Rock band from Italy! Formed back in 2007, the Dirty Bastards play folk rock spiced up with pure Traditional Irish Music. Uilleann pipes, tenor banjo, mandolin and Irish flute: there are few others bands in the rock scene that could compete with the Bastards in terms of deep knowledge of pure Irish Traditional Music and Irish culture and society. As written in a review of the latest album, “Uncle Bard & The Dirty Bastards don’t pretend to be Irish. […] They are showing “huge gratitude and all the due respect to Irish music and culture”. They are really Ireland’s adopted sons and have brought a new breeze to the European Celtic punk/rock scene.” During the last three years, supporting the releases of “Get The Folk Out!” and then “Handmade”, the band has played more than 400 gigs all over Europe, including successful shows at Shamrock in Germany, OranjeRock in The Netherlands, Celtica and Bustofolk in Italy, Aymon Folk Festival in France, and many others major festivals. The band also shared the stage many times with worldwide famous celtic-punk band Dropkick Murphys (USA), Flogging Molly (USA), Fiddler’s Green (GER), Kensington (NET), Volbeat (DEN), Skerryvore (SCO) and Frank Turner (ENG) but also with traditional acts like De Danann (IRE), Four Men and A Dog (IRE), Beoga (IRE), The Dubliners (IRE), Paul McKenna Band (SCO), Cùig (IRE). The latest album “Handmade!” has been released on February 9th, 2017. More than one hour for 16 songs, “Handmade” is a picture of what the band really is. There is room for a pint and a laugh but also for uncertainty and troubles because life hands you both things. It was “handmade” by the band’s musicians, with a labour of love, putting their lives in and personally taking care of every aspect: lyrics, music, arrangements but also photos, video, concept and even recording. Uncle Bard & The Dirty Bastards are currently working on a new album, to be released on 2019, and booking the tour for summer 2019. 15 years Balfolk from Belgium
A festival tent filled to the brim with enthusiastically dancing people, while on stage an equally passionated folk-band, wet with sweat, fully committed. That’s what characterizes a performance by EmBRUN. There is so much energy among this wonderful band, that the audience is near to explode. The music of EmBRUN is tradition based but spiced with contemporary often progressive sounds and rhythms. Being a real live band, they recorded their 3th album with a live audience in April 2013. This live album is a fine example of an EmBRUN performance: steamy, swinging, sometimes intimate; a smooth-running five-cylinder engine with plenty of horsepower, rhythmically tight and musically surprising.
Since 2002 EmBRUN has been continuously present on the Belgian folk scene and showed its skills on many European stages: Gooikoorts (BE), Saint-Chartier (FR), Festival Het Lindeboom (FR), Bal der Bals (BE), Ététrad (IT), Dranouter (BE), Folkwoods (NL), Deerlycke Folkfestival (BE), Tanzhausfest (DE), Andanças (PT), Boombalf stival (BE), Entrudanças (PT), Castlefest (NL), Texel (NL), …
O’llainnis is the latest Irish & Scottish folk pop crossover.
We bring you traditional Irish and Scottish music in fresh new arrangements with that authentic Celtic tone still abundantly present.
Hailing from Holland we play like the devil, sing like nightingales and we won’t sleep until we’ve rocked your party!
Barefooted with only acoustic instruments
Barefooted and with only acoustic instruments, Pyrolysis breathes the raw, natural chaos of life into music. With a leading role for nostalgic melodies, they play stormingly fast-paced and energetic songs perfect for any tavern brawl, but also some darker ballads that reek of rainy days.
Exhilarating Wardrums and Highlandbagpipes
Clan Sassenachs will also take you to the rugged Scottish country this year. With their exhilarating Wardrums and Highlandbagpipe, they dressed in 18 century Scottish kilts of powerful folk with stirring tempos alternated with slow melodies, where the audience can imagine themselves in the Highlands of Scotland! After their exciting performances, the Sassenachs can rest in their exciting performances to equip the Sassenachs in their 18th century Scottish encampment where the fire and food are prepared. Here the life of the camp is depicted from that period and various demonstrations such as a medical and kilt demonstration can be given. The camp is open and you are welcome to walk in here!
The Celtic Hobbits
Hear hear, great Hobbit news! ~> The Keltische Hobbits will be clambering onto the Elfia stage with their adventurous instruments, ancient languages, rambling rhymes, and hairy hopping feet! Celtic Hobbits? Well, Iris and Luuk are not quite that small… but they do love good food, long wandering journeys, and cheerful folk music! Singing harpist Iris brings old folksongs to life in the languages of Irish Gaelic, Breton, English, Limbourgish, and Dutch. Creative virtuoso Luuk paints lyrical landscapes with his whistles, ocarina’s, shruti box, rubber duckies, teaspoons, and accordion. From summer birds to stormy pirates, from romantic starry nights to the illegal brewery of tea: the Keltische Hobbits sing and play about all of it, until the elves start dancing on the rooftops. Come and enjoy the songs, dance tunes, improvisations, jokes, and poems! After 2 years of making music together (and eating and hiking), it is time for a shiny debut album! The record will be released on April 1st 2019 and will also be available at Elfia.

“Steamnation is not your typical steampunk group. We are not simply individuals in a group. We are a team, all working under the command of Captain Glenwell. We are an airship crew, officially working in cargo delivery, a little less officially as smugglers of everything under the radar. We all have diverse backgrounds, which at times crossed paths and locked together. We work as one, all with our own expertise, to make every job a success. Our captain is the driving force behind the crew, he scores jobs and makes sure we get paid. Explorer and navigator John A. Wander plans the trip and gets us where we need to be. Absinthologist James greases our throats, and will explain to you the wonderous world of Absinthe and unravel its mysteries. Butt beware, once he starts, there’s no stopping him and you'll get to hear the complete history of the green liquid. When we lose a limb, Doctor Elizabeth sews it back on so we don't lose our heads. She's always ready for a Game of Graces or other Victorian games and is also the Tiffin master at our sophisticated Victorian Tea duels. They can get very dangerous but never uncivilised. Try to beat our n°1, I dare you! Stay away from Mr Brown, our cook. He's as crazy as it gets! He'll blow your fuse in the blink of an eye. But what he cooks up in his caboose is damn tasty! And then there's yours truly, Nathaniël L Hetfield, chronicler for Steamnation. I might just be one of the most normal ones on the crew (cough..). I am in charge of our written stories. I stand guard over our reputation and pen down our adventures for generations to come. You'll find them between the trumpery on my desk. Be on the lookout for my camera, as it captures your past, present and future on film. I will try to trick you into a steamfie. Join us and the rest of the crew on our crazy adventures, join us for high tea, biscuits and gossip or a chat about steampunk and Steamnation.

A powerful opportunity, back in balance!
Shamanic healing, reading, Workshop: Mindfulness for kids
Shamanic healing: In a healing, I make contact with the body through the laying on of hands and I feel that I am on all kinds of layers where the energy flows or is blocked. Stress, sadness and pain can ensure that the energy in the body does not flow properly anymore, causing blockades. A healing can help with fatigue, headaches, back pain, sleep problems, burn out and promote your overall well-being. During the treatment it becomes clear what you need and can handle at that moment. Through stroking movements I deduce what does not belong in the body and the aura. By cleaning and cleaning, more space will be created. I work with light energy, which in the right vibration and intensity relaxes blockages. Often it gives lightness, the self-healing ability is activated. This leads to inner strength! I notice that people start to shine again after the treatment and experience more rest. Even without obvious physical complaints, I can work with you on insights and awareness of body and mind. Important for people with severe physical complaints is the realization that a healer is not a healer of serious diseases, but can guide you in dealing with the complaints and possibly relieve the pain.
Reading: For a reading I open up and I make contact with angels / guides where I get messages that are about what is going on in your life at that moment. These messages work in the form of words, sentences and images that I put on paper. This completes the total picture of body and mind. This gives the meaning of your life path more space. It provides insight into your specific question or problem. Experience shows that healing and clarity is very healing. Know that everything happens in Love, compassion and equality. There is a lot of respect and knowing in who and what you are. Multiple treatments guarantee a profound flow in your system. You come back into balance!
Mindfulness for children: Mindfulness is being aware. Life is often busy and rushed nowadays. We all need a lot of ourselves. Right now, children benefit from a moment’s rest and stand still. The same applies to adults. You learn to focus your attention on something and become aware of what you feel. You practice to listen to this and take good care of yourself and your environment. Mindfulness can be practiced in different ways, I teach classes to primary school. We start with relaxation exercises, then some awareness-raising exercises and then a brief guided meditation using singing bowls, tingsha, koshi and rainsticks. You see that the children become calmer, more in the now. There is less anger and aggressiveness. It can allow children to enjoy more intensely and give guidance in small and large storms, in their bodies, in their environment and in their thoughts. The nice thing about mindfulness is that you can also apply it yourself at home. By practicing it more often you learn to be open and to accept yourself as you are and accept life as it is with a friendly attitude. Mini Listening Child tuning. With the Luisterkind® Method I make contact with you or your child remotely. If your child has problems with, for example, sleeping, eating, tantrums, fear of failure, urinating in bed, school, expressing himself, insecurity or learning problems, then a Listening Child attunement can be applied to find a deeper cause. With this method everything happens at a distance, which means that we have contact without seeing or speaking to each other live. It is working in the energy, contact from heart to heart or from soul to soul. I connect with the energy of the other person and that is how the conversation comes about. I write down everything that is discussed, that happens in monologue or dialogue. This is then sent back via the mail. The Listening Child Method is suitable for all ages and certainly for people who can not express themselves, for example due to an intellectual disability, dementia, cerebral haemorrhage, etc. The advantages of this method are that you can stay in your own environment, you have no waiting times or travel costs and that I can take all the time for you that is needed.
