In terms of capacity, the Archeon turned out to no longer be sufficient for the growing interest. That is why the Elfia organization decided in 2002 to move the ‘Elf Fantasy Fair’ to the largest castle in the Netherlands: De Haar castle. There was a condition: the extensive park of De Haar Castle could be used with respect for the nature and animal inhabitants of the park, such as bat colonies and rare birds.
